Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred, high school diploma required.
- Minimum of 10 years successful PM experience in Mechanical construction. Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Proven experience in mentoring and managing others.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Advanced understanding of; estimating, scheduling, risk and claim management, change order, MCAA labor manual, project management, and management methods, manpower loading and projections, financial projections, HVAC and plumbing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with owners with positive results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
- Is viewed as a true advocate of the owner and someone they can rely on to build a team as well as a building.
- Must possess the utmost of personal integrity and can create and lead an organization culture of collaboration, both internally and externally, to maintain the superior reputation of firm.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills.
- Current and valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

This job may work inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing reaching, bending crawling, standing, or stretching.

- Move about on the feet regularly. Sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- May require travel.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Talk and hear, ability to communicate with others both written and orally and by telephone.
- Possess good vision, normal or corrected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision to discern color coded wires, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Â
- Possesses good hearing, normal or corrected.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.Â
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
- This position requires travel by vehicle, the ability to work and walk at construction sites during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.Â
- Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
