Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university plus a minimum of 1 year of comparable work experience. Experience working with foster care system, probation and/or transition age youth required. Experience working with culturally diverse youth required. Tax experience is strongly desired. Knowledge of local Child Welfare and Juvenile Probation policies, procedures and governing legislation preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate effectively. Bilingual communication skills preferred but not required.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification required (or complete within 30 days of hire). Valid California driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle with current insurance that can be used for company business. Fingerprint/background check and TB test required. TB test required.
- Experience providing services to clients of various racial, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds or sexual identity who are overrepresented in homeless populations as well as working in different cultural environments. An understanding of humility and respect for working with homeless youth and families.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be punctual, efficient and organized; effective and professional under pressure. Ability to balance excellent client care with meeting deadlines and ensuring positive program goals and outcomes. Excellent communication skills - must be personable and informative when presenting BWC programs and services.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts as required for reporting.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Internet research skills are a plus.

Salary Range:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour.
