Job Summary:
The Community Resources department coordinates all fundraising, marketing, and volunteer engagement for Bill Wilson Center. The annual Adopt A Family program connects caring donors to Bill Wilson Center clients who would otherwise receive few, if any, gifts for the holidays. This position is temporary from September 2025 through January 2026. The hours will fluctuate from 20 per week to 40 per week (40 hours during busiest time, Nov/Dec)
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and outreach, though phone, email and site visits, to organizations, agencies, and companies to engage donors with Adopt A Family.
- Cultivate new donor contacts for program.
- Speaking engagements to donor groups, companies and organizations to promote Adopt A Family.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks: returning phone calls, responding to emails, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Data entry, thank you letters and other duties using Excel, Word, and a donor database.
- Maintain Excel and donor database of all Adopt A Family information.
- Assist with contacting Bill Wilson Center case managers and donors, including visits to assist using the Roonga website.
- Assist with matching profiles and donors through Roonga.
- Help with finding days and times for gift drop off and gift pick up using the Picktime website.
- Transport items to donated warehouse space, main offices and other locations.
- Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, during gift drop off and gift pick up weeks.
- Other duties as assigned.
