Job Description:Â In the position of Co Therapist with our Children and Adolescent Mobile Crisis Team, you will work with First Responders in mental health and substance use crisis that involve our younger population by providing therapeutic care and resources for the client and their families while assessing situations in an often-emergent situation. The incumbent will work with the therapeutic teams and community resources to establish treatment plans and goals while communicating the needs of individuals involved and supporting their assigned therapist. This is a part-time weekend positions working Saturdays and Sundays, either 7:00AM - 7:00PM or 7:00PM - 7:00AM.

What you’ll be doing:
Â
- Conduct individual and/or family therapy with children and adolescent population ages three to eighteen.
- Work with Program Manager and co-therapist to assist families on a 24/7 call basis.
- Provide Crisis Intervention for client and client’s family when called.
- Perform initial assessments, intakes and prepare documentation of such for client’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Prepare with client a treatment plan to include goals.
- Facilitate warm hand-off to Co-therapist and/or Care Coordinator.
- Obtain certification in the CANS System.
- Conduct CANS Assessments.
- Work closely with Co-therapist, Care Coordinator & guardians regarding client’s needs
- Participate in various meetings to include departmental, divisional, or other meetings as required.
- Complete billing documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain educational requirements regarding licensure, Alabama Department of Mental Health State Standards
- Perform outreach in partnership with DHR.
- Work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends twice a month.Â
- Complete other duties as assigned.
