Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tests, troubleshoots and repairs conveyor driven sorting equipment on a systems level.
  • Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs printed circuit boards and other electronic devices and peripherals to a component level.
  • Assembles, wires, and installs electrical components and peripherals for material handling conveyor systems.
  • Performs electrical testing and verification systems.
  • Ensures compliance with company safety standards during assembly.
  • Collaborates with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly issues.

Job Duties:

  • Perform system-level testing and burn-in.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems as required.
  • Perform testing of printed circuit boards and other electronic devices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair field-returned items.
  • Assemble camera and other peripheral-type components.
  • Load various types of software and firmware.
  • Submit proper paperwork along with all repairs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings for conveyor systems.
  • Install and route wiring harnesses and electrical components on conveyor assemblies.
  • Test and troubleshoot conveyor electrical systems including motors, sensors, and control panels.
  • Document assembly processes and maintain accurate records of electrical configurations.
  • Assist in the integration of conveyor systems with packaging and sorting equipment.

Qualifications

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Windows environment.
  • Component knowledge of PCs.
  • Ability to use a DVM (Digital Volt Meter) and Oscilloscope.
  • SMT soldering experience.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to go up and down stairs.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Organization, Detail-Oriented, Deadline-Oriented.
  • Experience with electrical assembly of industrial conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of motor controls, sensors, and PLC wiring.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools for electrical assembly.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and practices in electrical assembly environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in diagnosing electrical issues in conveyor systems.

Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • 2+ years related industry experience.
