Description

Comunilife Inc. is looking for an experience Real Estate Clerk to join its Real Estate team. The Real Estate Clerk is responsible for the office administrative functions including working  with residential current and prospective tenants during the leasing and renewal process. The  Administrative Assistant supports the Real Estate team reviewing and maintaining related  program Office reports/records, and other administrative tasks. .  This position is eligible for Comunilife Inc.'s generous paid time off and benefits package.  The rate of pay is $26.00/hr to $27.19/hr based on 35 regular hours a week.
 
Essential Duties
 
  • Review emails received from Program Staff Residence Programs for completeness and  accuracy. Confirm forms submitted are legible. 
  • Print all documents received from Program staff and ensure all documents received based  on the checklist.  
  • Follow up on missing documentation with Program Staff. Follow up with Program Staff  on requests and track receipt of documents in a timely manner. 
  • Schedule Applicants for appointment for the completion of Low Income Housing Tax  Credit (LIHTC) paperwork at Comunilife’s Central Office in Manhattan. 
  • Coordinate and schedule lease signing and move –ins with Program Staff. 
  • Create and update Spreadsheets in Excel to track status of tenant processing. 
  • Call Applicants to follow up on documents and scheduled appointments. Track no-shows  and report to the team. 
  • Create Tenant files for new move-ins  
  • Provide daily updates on tenant files for inclusion in weekly report to the Real Estate  Team.
  • Maintains waiting lists for affordable unit leasing and NYS Housing Search website

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirement(s): 
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in human services or related  field preferred 
  • Two (2) years’ administrative work experience preferably in property management  organization 
  • Prior marketing experience and or prior HPD or DHS experience a plus 
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS afflicted individuals, chronic mental illness, substance abuse  individuals and their families a plus  
  • Bilingual skills in English/Spanish a plus 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and Google  product suites. 
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite with high proficiency creating excel spreadsheets.  Ability to perform and manage in a team approach; excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to handle complex challenges and balance multiple demands on time and attention  Ability and willingness to perform all duties as workload necessitates
