We are looking for a Regional Director of Education to join our corporate education team to support our Pacific and West Region campuses.  This position will work out of one of our UEI College campuses in Sacramento or a nearby campus and includes travel as needed.

The Regional Director of Education is responsible for managing and leading the region’s campus Education Teams by overseeing the delivery of quality educational programs and the development and implementation of effective strategies to meet campus student retention, completion and Active Earning Population goals.  Essential day-to-day job responsibilities include:

  • Complying with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures;
  • Recruiting, training and developing faculty members and staff for region’s campuses;
  • Providing guidance, leadership and support to region’s campuses to ensure effective achievement of education objectives, including targets and goals in student retention, completion, and Active Earning Population;
  • Mentoring region’s Directors of Education;
  • Traveling weekly to region’s campuses;
  • Developing and managing region’s Education budget, including staff, faculty, and resources allocation;
  • Developing and implementing professional development programs for IEC faculty members, education staff, and education managers;
  • Reviewing feedback from region’s faculty members and students and implementing initiatives to address any concerns;
  • Developing, updating and implementing the onboarding process and training materials for new hires in Education Vertical.
  • Participating in the onboarding and training process for Directors of Education and Associate Directors of Education; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Regional Director’s performance is measured by the region’s campuses meeting their student retention, graduation, placement rate and Active Earning Population goals.

Key Success Factors

  • For region’s campuses, maintain student retention and completion rate for all programs at least at the campus as well as the Company and regulatory standard minimum benchmarks for all programs.
  • Ensures that at minimum 90% of the programs for the region are at or above benchmarks per accreditation standards.
  • Ensures that the region’s campuses consistently meet and exceed the overall minimum of 85% student retention, with no program below 80%.
  • Ensures that the region’s campuses consistently maintain at or below budget attrition.
  • Satisfactory or above feedback and comments from student surveys from region’s campuses.
  • 100% instructional coverage, with every instructor, including substitute instructors, sufficiently trained prior to instructing a class for region’s campuses.
  • For region’s campuses, maintain Active Earning Population at expected levels.

Qualifications

Essential Experience, Education and Skillset

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Relevant education and/or training in instructional delivery and management.
  • Minimum 3 years of combined management, teaching and education administration experience.
  • Successful track record of effective teaching, curriculum development, and education administration.
  • Above average user skills in computer and information technology (e.g. student database, social media, online educational resources).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and lead a team.
