Headquartered in Orange Park, Florida we offer Counter Service, Mobile Hose Repair, and state of the art OEM Centers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Due to current, as well as projected growth, HosePower is seeking a mechanically inclined, self-motivated Equipment Repair Technician. This position works within the Mobile Service Group to repair industrial machinery and equipment as well as provide support to branch locations for the machinery, equipment and service trucks in the field. This position requires an experienced and qualified technician to work on specialized hydraulic, electronic and pneumatic equipment. This also includes processing requests for parts and equipment. This position ensures that equipment and material are provided to the field in a timely manner, in good working condition, and all related paperwork is completed and processed properly.

 

The Equipment Repair Technician:

  • Learn skills required to prepare equipment for field use
  • Learn skills to repair and recondition used equipment
  • Learn to troubleshoot equipment, both in person and via phone / e-mail / video conference call
  • Prepare outbound shipments of equipment and parts
  • Move, store and transfer materials, supplies, equipment and vehicles
  • Receive, inspect, clean and prepare all returning equipment for sale / transfer
  • Order parts for equipment repairs and for up-fitting service trucks
  • Assemble up-fit orders for subcontractors
  • Maintain materials and tools in an organized fashion in proper locations
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Assist with repairs of equipment
  • Prepare orders for customers
  • Assembly experience preferred - will train the right candidate
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must:

  • Have general knowledge of machinery and tools
  • Be a team player and willing to learn
  • Be able to follow manufacturer’s instructions for repairs and maintenance
  • Have the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Have prior forklift operation experience
  • Be dependable
  • Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate
  • Be attentive to detail and inspection of products
  • Have basic computer skills
