OPEN POSITIONS ON  PART TIME DAY OR EVENING 8 HOUR SHIFTS

· Starting pay ranges from $44.00 to $49.06 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

 

Sign-On Bonus:

               Kickstart your incredible career with us and receive a  $4,000 for part time.

Shift Differential:

Enjoy an additional $2.00 per hour for night shifts and $1.00 per hour for evening shifts.

JOB SUMMARY:

 

To provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies; subject to the personality and mood changes of residents; some lifting and turning of residents.  Required to handle emergency situations of all types.

 

DUTIES:

 

1.          Assists with orientation, instruction and supervision of other nursing personnel.

 

2.          Evaluates residents' needs, condition and care, and assists in developing nursing care plans

              for individual residents.

 

3.          Reviews residents' medical and social history.  Makes appropriate and practical room assignments.

 

4.          Assembles residents' charts, checks to see that all permits, authorizations and orders to resident

              cardex, medication and treatment records, diet lists, O.T., P.T. schedules, etc. are complete.

 

5.          Maintains unit records.

 

6.          Assists in establishing good public relations.

 

7.          Participates in and may conduct in-service training meetings.

 

8.          Continues professional growth through current literature and meetings.

 

9.          Directs and supervises functions and personnel in assigned unit.

 

10.        Maintains accurate and adequate records of resident care.

 

11.        Available for emergencies and assist other nursing personnel as needed.

 

12.        Sets an example for other staff:

 

                           a.           Remains calm in crises.

                           b.          Deals with those under her/his supervision fairly.

                           c.           Follows chain of command.

                           d.          Responds to questions, concerns in a fair and timely manner.

                           e.           Acts as an advocate for residents, staff.

                           f.           Respects confidentiality of resident, staff, family, facility.

                           g.           Works as a team member, willing to help others and cheerful in doing so

                           h.          Exercises safe work practices.

 

DUTIES COMMON TO ALL STAFF:

 

1.          Is aware of and respects resident's rights.

 

2.          Is neat and well groomed.

 

3.          Follows proper dress code.

 

4.          Wears name tag at all times.

 

5.          Adheres to break times as scheduled.

 

6.          Reports to and begins work promptly.

 

7.          Notifies supervisor of illness and absenteeism on a timely basis.

 

8.          Able to set priorities and organize work in an efficient manner.

 

9.          Follows proper chain of command.

 

10.        Accomplishes tasks in safe manner.

 

11.        Receives new ideas enthusiastically.

 

12.        Attends inservices and staff meetings as directed by supervisor.

 

13.        Follows facility policies and procedures for infection control.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Knowledge of the principles, methods and standards of professional nursing; ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff; ability to give suitable instructions and assignments to employees and supervise their performance; familiar with organization, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility as they relate to nursing services; knowledge of the practice of Gerontological Nursing (The American Nurses Association of Gerontological Guidelines will be placed at each nursing station); possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse by the state in which practicing.
