NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, Will receive on the job training if no prior experience.
BASIC FUNCTION: Assists the nursing and receptionist staff with welcoming, rooming and assisting patients with their health care needs.

SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: Primary Care hours are Monday Friday from 7:30am 5:00pm. Subject to change based on business necessity.

EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS:
This position is classified by OSHA as a Class I position and is exposed to odors, infections and body fluids. To reduce job hazards, this position is responsible for wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during job functions. PPE can include: gloves, gown/coat, shoe covers, head/face, and eye and ear protection. Each job function requires a different level of PPE. Individuals receive initial and annual training to identify the appropriate level of PPE required.
EQUIPMENT USED: Blood pressure cuff, thermometer, stethoscope, computer, scales, phone, and fax machine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets up and clean up rooms between appointments
- Rooms patients and gathers and records necessary vital signs
- Properly enters patient information in Athena.
- Keeps clinic stocked with all supplies (lab, medical, pharmacy, laundry).
- Files progress notes, lab results and any correspondence, etc. in-patient charts electronically via Athena
- Continual surveillance of proactive participation in ongoing Infection Prevention and Control measures in accordance with policies located in the Infection Control Manual on MCN.
- Other duties as assigned.
