The Sanitation Associate is responsible for hands-on operations in the production center. Ensures all specifications are produced in the most cost-effective manner within our quality control standards. Must be a team player. Must maintain adherence to all sanitation standards and procedures as dictated by local, state, and federal authorities and as monitored by the LSF managers and Quality Assurance Department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set up the dish area daily and run the dishwasher.
• Keep all production areas clean and clear of debris.
• Clean and sanitize all production area materials and machines.
• Clean and sanitize all material returned by the drivers.
• Clean and sanitize all Marel equipment at the end of production in preparation for the next day.
• Clean and sanitize all production rooms, receiving areas and common areas at the end of each day.
• Clean the cafeteria before and after breakfast and lunch are served.
• Clean all employee bathrooms and restock items as needed.
• Mop all hallways and common areas.
• Empty all trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean and restock all hand washing sinks and refill sanitizer as needed.
• Vacuum all administration areas, empty trash cans, clean and restock the kitchenette.
• Mop the warehouse areas and clean and restock the warehouse bathrooms.
• Clean and mop the test kitchen and the 2nd floor shrimp room.
• Clean all stairwells.
• Empty and line all trash barrels outside and clear debris if needed.
• Report anything broken or out of place to Sanitation Manager.
• Break down cardboard and trash by operating the compactor.
• Follow all GMPs and all LSF sanitation checklists.
• Consistently maintain product quality and integrity.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, including GMP requirements, food safety, and plant personnel safety.
• Ensure products are produced according to specifications.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure standards are met.
• Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company standards, communicating inferior products or procedures.
