Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support to the daily functions of the human resources department processes and provides support in consultation with management. This role processes recruitment and benefit plans, enforces company policies and regulations, and acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct recruitment and onboarding process by coordinating requisition, job posting, and new hire orientation etc.

Process Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for employee status change (hiring, promotion, termination) in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring approvals.

Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, maintains I-9 files, and reports new hires and terminations to agencies like OAG.

Assist with new hires and annual pre-screening processes such as drug and background checks.

Assist with recordkeeping and maintain and update physical and digital files of employees' documents.

Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes require documents through HRIS and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
• Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.

Assist with the open enrollment process with HRIS and benefits databases, and coordinate COBRA.

Review monthly billing to be ready for approval and correct discrepancies to be ready for payment processing.

Performs routine tasks assisting with leaves, FMLA administration, and other benefits.

Process unemployment cases and workers’ compensation claims.

Coordinates and manages the training on the Learning Management System (Relias LMS).
• Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Thorough knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Title VII, DOL requirements, etc.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and using standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to move throughout the community and occasionally must be able to lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds at times.
Work Schedule
The work schedule is Standard from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Work Location
Onsite. Temporary hybrid work may be available upon approval and subject to business needs.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study required.

Three years of work experience in Human Resources and benefits administration required or five years of experience.
