Full-time position available with Haworth’s largest, global contract furniture dealer. Established in 1981, we are a 2nd generation, family-owned company. Our clients range from local businesses to some of the largest companies on the globe with projects ranging from a single office to a fully furnished new building.
The Marketing Specialist will increase brand awareness and sales through the promotion of the Company’s brand platform. The Marketing Specialist cultivates consistency in all areas of Company marketing, bids, proposals, and presentations with clients and the community, as well as manages and promotes the Company brand internally. This role will coordinate and implement marketing communication projects with responsibilities that include: public relations; special events management; and the development of print material, sales tools, and targeted messaging that positions and directs product/services and information toward prospective and competitively held customers. The role organizes the preparation of bids, proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials, and also prepares status reports on marketing efforts.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Company marketing plan, incorporating brand, solutions and messaging to the marketplaces based on Company objectives, cost and markup factors and market characteristics.
- Primary liaison within Company for coordination, organization and implementation of key marketing strategies, objectives and events.
- Market products and brand awareness by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; assembling and analyzing sales data; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations, meetings, trade shows, and/or events; maintaining and/or updating promotional material and inventory.
- Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data; maintain sales and marketing databases.
- Develop and implement ad, public relations, and social media campaigns.
- Formulate, direct, and maintain quality of marketing standards and practices for all of Company relating to brands, solutions and messaging.
- Understand the needs of the prospective customer and create an image, as well as materials, incorporating the strategic similarities in goals between Company/manufacturer and the prospective client.
- Interface with all departments of Company and manufacturer Sales to create customer-focused digital, web and print materials for proposals, mockups and customer visits through creative imagery, packaging and delivery of all information delivered to existing and prospective customers during the diagnosis, proposal and continued care stages of the selling cycle.
- Maintain and use a detailed understanding our competitors' capabilities for proposals, mockups, and customer visits to constantly ensure we are providing our selling strategy in an industry-leading, creative, and compelling manner and positioning to our advantage.
- Develop customized, tailored response to key needs and issues in final bid presentation, focusing on cultures, strengths, products, and services in a partnering relationship differentiating us from our competition.
- Ensure timely completion of bids for presentation to customers.
- Develops and monitors marketing budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
