The DGR Engineering Electrical Power Department in Rock Rapids, Iowa specializes in the planning and design of infrastructure improvements for electrical power utilities in the upper Midwest.
Typical projects include power generation, substation, transmission and distribution systems design and construction management.
Our interns have the opportunity to be involved in various drafting, design and field engineering experiences. Some internships are primarily focused on project observation and gaining field experience. Other interns spend more time in the office focused on learning design skills under the mentorship of our experts in the electrical engineering field. Our goal is to give you a positive learning experience that will prepare you to return to your coursework with a better vision of what you want your career to be.
Our internships offer competitive wages and a challenging & professional work environment. Internships generally run from May- August. Updated information will be needed in January 2026 to include Fall 2025 classes taken, grades, etc. - with selection expected around February 2026.
