Description

The Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) at Western Montana Mental Health Center is responsible for delivering clinical services related to Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Working within an outpatient level of care, the LAC conducts comprehensive chemical dependency evaluations and provides referrals and treatment recommendations based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria. Services include facilitating group therapy, individual and family counseling, and providing crisis intervention as needed. The LAC plays a vital role in supporting clients through evidence-based interventions and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensure in Montana as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor Candidate (ACLC) 
  • Ability to pass a background check upon offer of employment.
  • Valid MT Driver’s license and a good driving record.
