The Opportunity:

Unity Environmental University seeks adjunct faculty experienced in culinary arts, food systems, food sustainability, or hospitality to support early-stage coursework in the Applied Bachelor of Science in Culinary Innovation and Food Systems.

This major integrates culinary competencies with sustainability, supply chain awareness, food innovation, and systems thinking.

Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For

Faculty who:

  • Bring applied experience in culinary arts, food systems, food science, hospitality, or sustainable food enterprise.
  • Can teach adult learners practical and conceptual aspects of food sustainability.
  • Value creativity, cultural awareness, and responsible food system design.
  • Are comfortable using AI-supported learning tools, including formative feedback systems and rubric-based evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a food-related discipline, OR substantial professional culinary/food system experience.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in sustainable food systems, farm-to-table, food innovation, or food entrepreneurship.

The Location:

Unity Environmental University's Distance Education curriculum is 100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely and are required to reside within the United States for the entire duration of the academic term in which they are teaching. It is the responsibility of the adjunct to ensure that they are working in a state that aligns with the tax information reported to HR.
