Weinstein Spira’s unique rotational internship program offers the opportunity to gain valuable professional accounting experience in both tax and audit. Internships last 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the student’s schedule and availability, and are split evenly between tax and audit assignments.
During the tax portion of your internship, you will spend time in our corporate office, preparing basic tax returns under the supervision and guidance of a senior tax preparer. You will learn to use tax professional preparation software and you will familiarize yourself with applicable tax laws and regulations.
During the audit portion of your internship, you will be assigned to one of our audit teams at a client location and participate in two or more financial plan audits or benefit plan audits. You will familiarize yourself with professional standards and assist staff auditors with specific audit functions.
At the conclusion of your internship, you will receive a specific performance review to help you assess your areas of strength and professional interests.
