Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:Â Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education:Â An Associate's degree.
Interpersonal Skills:Â A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills:Â Experience in college Admissions, Advising, and/or Financial Aid preferred. Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
Physical Requirements:Â The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of items generally not over 25 pounds, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Environment:Â Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
