Compensation:

$25.97/hr

 

Position Description:

Works with the Development + Marketing Team on the planning and execution of fundraising endeavors including special events, annual appeals, donor stewardship, and raising awareness for Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic.

 

Responsibilities:

Special Event Coordination

  • Manage registration process, guest list and seating assignments
  • Effectively track vendor deposits and payments
  • Serve as point person at event for registration table
  • Recruit, train and oversee volunteers
  • Track and fulfill sponsorship benefits
  • Provide regular reporting on event income, expenses, and VIP attendees
  • Participate in event follow-up responsibilities
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines and processes, preparing regular status reports.

Donor Relations

  • Participate in the planning, execution and follow-up of volunteer committee meeting
  • Assist with greeting and working with donors who arrive at the office
  • Support marketing efforts related to large donations, event chair announcements and committee achievements
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters every two weeks
  • Record meeting minutes as requested, ensuring action items receive appropriate follow-up

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Aid the team in taking photos of various Interfaith events, volunteer days, program photos, etc.
  • Aid the team in content creation for social media

Grants:

  • Help the Director of Development draft grants, find new ones, and manage the grant calendar.

Development Operations

  • Assist with the management of Departmental Calendar
  • Work with Development Team to ensure integrity of all donor data
  • Participate in weekly and monthly reporting on income and gaps to goal
  • Assist with Third Party and External Event management
  • Collaborate on direct mail, digital mail, and social media appeals
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a customer-service centered office setting

            Preferred:

  • 1 - 2 years of nonprofit development experience

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with database management
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and relational databases
  • Ability to discern and protect privileged information
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Desire to work as part of a cohesive team
  • Positive Attitude
  • Self-starter
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Does well with high levels of autonomy
  • Desire and willingness to interact with donors, volunteers and community members, both in written and digital communication pieces and face-to-face, verbal conversations

Travel Requirements:

Requires frequent local travel and employee must comply with Interfaith’s Safe Driving policy
