Used Car Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the used car department, ensuring high performance in sales, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Oversee acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and inventory control of pre-owned vehicles to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize vehicle turn rates and maintain a competitive used car inventory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, trade partners, and suppliers to facilitate vehicle sourcing and sales.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing data, and competitor activity to inform pricing and inventory decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, finance, and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze sales metrics and inventory reports to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Used Car Sales Manager Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: Make between $12,000.00 - $18,000.00 a month!

Qualifications

Used Car Sales Manager Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales or used vehicle management, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of used car market dynamics, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in automotive software and inventory management systems.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
