Licensed Psychologist: Clinical Supervisor

The Psychological Assessment Clinical Supervisor oversees psychological assessment batteries, reports, and provides clinical supervision to interns, trainees, and staff within the Behavioral Health department. This position is responsible for the supervision and/or consultation, and training of interns, trainees, and licensed program staff in the Behavioral Health department to ensure high standards of clinical practice. Additionally, the position includes direct client services, with a minimum caseload of one client.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation for staff and doctoral interns/ trainees.
  • Oversee assessment processes, review clinical documentation, conduct live supervision, identify assessment-specific development needs, and provide performance feedback.
  • Facilitate clinical didactic training sessions.
  • Provide educational support to trainees, interns, and staff.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive, client centered individual/group/family counseling/rehabilitation direct services.
  • Development of culturally relevant assessments and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and performs case management services.
  • Complete all documentation per Medi-Cal, Santa Clara County, Board of Psychology, Board of Behavioral Services and AACI standards within deadlines.
  • Conduct psychological assessment and testing for assigned clients.
  • Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support.
  • Assist in evaluating interns and trainees for Master's and Doctoral programs.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology is required.
  • Current license in Psychology from the California Board of Psychology.
  • Two years or more of post licensure experience.
  • Two years of psychological testing, including neuropsychological testing and report writing experience.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and supervision for psychological and neuropsychological testing.
  • Experience with electronic health records, EPIC preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, treatment approaches, and trauma-informed care, and knowledge of engagement strategies for various clinical populations.
  • Knowledge of effective clinical supervision strategies and clinical didactic trainings.
  • Knowledge of and experience with the clinical, ethical and legal aspects of risk assessment, prevention, and intervention including abuse, dangerousness to self and/or others, and grave disability. 
  • Skilled in the supervision, and provision of psychological testing measures, including assessment of ADHD, personality, intelligence, performance validity, and neuropsychological measures, to include for clients presenting with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), and dementia.

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential background.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Working conditions

Work is conducted in an office environment. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite, in office work.  Basic safety precautions and use of protective clothing or gear may be required.
