SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Perform a variety of cleaning tasks for commercial and public facilities.
Essential Functions (Job Duties)
- Janitor Responsibilities.
- General cleaning of buildings and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Clean windows, doors, and dust where applicable.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify supervisors of major concerns and supply shortages.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Manage time efficiently.
- Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
- Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to work outside normal business hours (i.e. early in the morning or late at night)
Ensure a safe work environment.
- Attend safety meetings when advised.
- Know the correct usage of all clean supplies.
- Will maintain a safe environment by notifying supervisor of all defective and/or broken equipment.
Communication
- Attends all Agency mandated training.
- Must be able to maintain professional communication skills at all times.
- Will discuss all sensitive and personal work related information regarding individuals in an appropriate private place. Will maintain confidentiality.
