The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth, market development, and referral relationships across HealthBridge Children’s Hospital and affiliated programs within the Southern California region. This position leads the development and execution of business strategies that strengthen hospital visibility, expand referral networks, and increase patient census across service lines.
The ideal candidate brings both clinical expertise and strong business development leadership — preferably with experience as a registered nurse, respiratory therapist, or rehabilitation therapist. This clinical background ensures a deep understanding of the complex needs of pediatric patients and referring providers, supporting HealthBridge’s mission to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Market Development
- Develop and execute regional business development plans to achieve census, revenue, and market share goals.
- Identify emerging trends, referral patterns, and growth opportunities within hospitals, physician practices, and payor networks.
- Evaluate new program opportunities and partnerships that align with organizational strategy and market demand.
- Relationship Management & Referral Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources, including acute hospitals, physicians, case managers, payors, and community partners.
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources and internal teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and outstanding customer service.
- Represent HealthBridge at regional networking events, conferences, and community outreach activities.
- Leadership & Team Oversight
- Establish clear performance expectations, monitor outcomes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with hospital CEOs and operational leaders to coordinate outreach activities and drive consistent messaging across sites.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track referral trends, admission volumes, and conversion rates to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Use data-driven insights to refine outreach strategies and optimize territory performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with clinical, admissions, and marketing teams to ensure coordinated communication and service excellence.
- Support the development of marketing materials, campaigns, and digital initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to align growth efforts with organizational priorities.
