Assistant Station Manager

Position Summary:

The Assistant Station Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the station’s operation to ensure quality, schedule and budget are achieved by coordinating with all departments supporting the station. The Assistant Station Manager will be responsible for managing successful customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directly manage manpower and schedules to accomplish customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe and productive station.
• Resolves employee and customer questions and issues that may arise in a timely manner.
• Overseeing all aircraft maintenance work to ensure safety and compliance with FAA regulations
• Ensuring the proper storage and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date training records.
• Leading, training, and supervising the maintenance staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in their roles.
• Monitors stations asset needs.
• Conducts employee performance appraisals and administers corrective actions as needed.
• Ensures facilities are maintained in a clean, orderly manner and present a proper image.
• Performs additional assignments as required by the station manager.
• Ensures payroll is accurate and uploaded into system as required by payroll department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications, skills, and abilities:

• Airframe and Powerplant License.
• Must have extensive technical knowledge of commercial aircraft.
• Five years of previous line maintenance experience required.
• Strong Team leadership skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Shall be capable and licensed to drive a motor vehicle on and off airport.
• Experience building strong working relations with customers.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, as well as an FBI criminal background check.
