The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing financial support to the entire Brady organization including, but not limited to, recording cash transactions, performing bank reconciliations and assisting in monthly close procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Records cash entries on a weekly basis
· Reconciles bank accounts for Brady companies on a weekly basis
· Coordinates and resolves banking discrepancies with Assistant Controller, Accounts Receivable Manager and Accounts Payable Manager on an ongoing basis, including but not limited to, outstanding check log, deposits in transit and reconciliation variances
· Assist in monthly close processes
· Engage with associates to help drive improvement by finding solutions to business and process issues
· Assist in budget process as needed
· Assist with ad hoc reporting as needed
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
· Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company’s mission and values

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
· Previous experience with accounting system software and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Experience with NetSuite a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to prove US employment eligibility
· Ability to pass drug screening
