Position Summary
The Driver position drives Agency vehicles and performs timely, accurate, and safe pick-ups of passengers. This role ensures the efficiency of vehicles, reports concern of safety to management, and maintains appropriate paperwork. The Driver recognizes that the highest quality of service is delivered with Hospitality, Respect, Quality, Spirituality, and Responsibility, the core values of the Agency, and maintains confidentiality of departmental records, persons, and activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives Agency vehicles and makes scheduled pick-ups of passengers based on the scheduled route.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of vehicles.
- Assists on loading, unloading, and security of passengers with wheelchairs.
- Assures seatbelt safety of all passengers.
- Conducts inspections of vehicle post and pre trip and maintains appropriate records.
- Assists in maintaining proper seasonal ground upkeep at the Transportation Center: de-icing parking lots and walkways, debris removal such as lawn clippings, weeds, leaves, etc.
- Perform Janitorial duties at the Transportation Center within agency safety and hygiene standards. These include general cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal and other related tasks.
- Adhere to drug and alcohol, accident, and other random screening.
- Participates in planning and implementing cross-training/cross utilization for various department functions.
- Observes Agency and departmental procedures concerning safety, emergencies, behavior management, and professional conduct.
- Monitors client areas for safety and ease of access.
- Participates in all Safeguarding Trainings related to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
- Participates in departmental meetings, information sharing and in-service training. Offers ideas for improved services and operations.
- Develops professional competencies; keeps abreast of related literature, enhances technical skills and knowledge.
- Promotes teamwork.
- Work flexible hours as needed based on program needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
