The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the payroll administration. Primary duties include the preparation, posting, and reconciliation of payroll, financial, and tax accounts on a bi-weekly basis. This role works in close collaboration with the Billing & Payroll Manager and the HR department, serving as a subject matter expert in payroll processes, audits, and accounting. This role will also be a point of contact for second-level employee issues and inquiries into payroll and HR related matters. This position will require you to work in the Corporate Headquarters office located in Overland Park, KS. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Process payroll in an accurate and timely manner for employees in the subsidiary company, and as backup for the parent company
- Assist with the setting up of payroll and benefits in the Paycom HRIS system
- Maintain personnel database regarding salaries and job titles, and ensure the accuracy of changes to employee records
- Address and resolve employee concerns or changes relating to the payroll/HRIS systems
- Participate in annual audit requests and required reporting
- Prepare relevant HR and payroll reports
- Manage and prepare quarterly and year-end tax reports and filings and all states with active employees
- Prepare requests for opening and closing state accounts as part of onboarding and attrition
- Administrative tasks include managing schedules, organizing meetings, and creating internal and external correspondence
- Maintain current standard operating procedures for the department, and assist with updating of HR system modules as needed – Performance Management, ongoing projects, compliance
- Assist with managing and maintaining accurate HR documents, including the employee and manager handbooks, processes, and procedures
- Responsible for handling confidential information with discretion and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations Â
