Job description:

  • Manage and review of Gift, Estate and Trust tax returns
  • Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client industries
  • Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence/ guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS, Treasury Department, or other taxing authorities
  • Manage tax planning for trust and individual income taxes
  • Handle multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
  • Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough and of professional quality
  • Provide guidance and feedback to staff and interns
  • Provide technical training and participate in mentorship program
  • Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of clients

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • CPA or JD certification
  • 5 or more years of experience in public accounting
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Tax
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized and proactive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service focus
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of ProSystem Tax and Engagement a plus
  • Technical skills reflective of experience
  • An ability to work within a team framework and comfortable reporting to multiple people
