Due to significant growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Analytics Team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. The preferred working arrangement will be hybrid out of our Denver (HQ), Atlanta, New York, or our Birmingham office. Exceptional candidates with significant experience may be eligible for a fully remote arrangement.

This Senior Actuarial Analyst is ideal for an ambitious & highly self-motivated individual that enjoys solving new challenges as we continue to build out our analytics practice from the ground up. Those that will excel in this role possess a unique blend of analytical savviness, interpersonal skills, and curiosity to explore new ideas. Outside of traditional actuarial work, this individual will have the latitude to explore building new analytics capabilities & solutions across the entire firm, ensuring CAC remains one of the fastest growing brokers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct experience analysis to advise clients on collateral adequacy, loss projections, and potential premium savings of alternative insurance structures
  • Work alongside loss control & claims teams to identify cost drivers, monitor frequency & severity trends, and quantify the impact of recent initiatives via deep dive claims analytics
  • Continuously innovate by improving current processes, developing new self-service tools, exploring new data & vendor relationships, and expanding skillsets to meet the growing needs of our business
  • Effectively communicate findings to internal & external stakeholders of varying levels of expertise
  • Develop presentation material that articulates the value of our analytics services to clients & prospects
  • Engage in strategic discussions to help craft ideal insurance structures that fit clients’ current & evolving needs
  • Contribute to analytics thought leadership by staying up to date with industry trends & insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, risk management, math, statistics, or similar quantitative background
  • At least two CAS exams passed with commitment to obtaining an ACAS/FCAS designation
  • Minimum of 2 years in an actuarial role; experience in a consulting or brokerage capacity is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and preferred technical experience with Tableau, SQL, and/or Python
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts in a clear manner
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple complex tasks & projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & pro-actively take the lead on client requests
