Job Summary:

This is an entry-level position responsible for assisting staff and supporting the Special Situation Group’s  book of business.  This includes providing a high level of customer service on a daily basis, communication, and problem-solving, all-in order to maintain and promote business growth.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in day-to-day operations of a service team and the assigned book of business.
  • Partner with the team and producers to assist with customer service needs to maintain and grow the book of business.
  • Maintain record of expiration dates on assigned accounts and coordinate with the CAC client team on new/renewal handling.
  • Check in with clients and secure extension terms, as needed.
  • Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and clients to provide data and information for decision making.
  • Forward submission material requests to the client, while managing placement deadline, continuing to follow up for needed submission materials.
  • Once client submission is received, coordinate the client submission materials for distribution to insurance carriers/underwriters; as well as coordinating the schedule for group and individual meetings between the client and insurers.
  • Provide support to CAC client team in obtaining insurance carrier quotes and binders, and reviewing the insurance carrier quotes and binders for accuracy.
  • Assist CAC client team in sharing insurance carrier quotes and binders with excess markets and clients and assist in follow-ups with client on subjectivity requests from insurance carriers/underwriters.
  • Responsible for surplus lines (State Taxes) due diligence and any applicable paperwork needed for requisite filings such as surplus lines taxes, and calculating appropriate taxes.
  • Assist CAC client team in the creation of client presentations, proposals, and placement summaries.
  • Complete invoices requests, review invoices for accuracy and send to respective clients. Follow up with client to collect past due premiums.
  • Follow up on policy issuance with each carrier included on the client’s insurance program.
  • Assist CAC client team in policy reviews by conducting the initial policy review. This review is not expected to be legal in nature, but fact checking the policy on items such as premium, client name and address, etc.
  • Forward all policies to client upon completion of review process and receipt of accurate policies in the manner designated by the client (e.g., electronic, paper file, etc.).
  • Work with Legal & Claims team on notice instructions to ensure Claims are noticed in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Establish and maintain active deal/client list.
  • Add new business to Salesforce and maintain accurate pipeline and closed-won data.
  • Assist with and maintain presentation materials, client lists, case studies, client testimonials, etc.
  • Maintain client records within EPIC, Salesforce and other 3rd party vendor software as appropriate, in accordance with standards.
  • Work with clients to execute and negotiate client service agreements.
  • Process policies, certificates, change requests, endorsements, cancellations, audits and invoicing as required.
  • Request loss runs, claims analysis and other applicable needs to meet client, producer or carrier needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree can substitute relevant education and work experience
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Appropriate state insurance license is required; may be obtained in first 60 days of employment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
