Job Summary: The CAC Group Summer Internship Program provides rising college seniors with practical, hands-on experience within the corporate risk management, and insurance industries. As a member of the Analytics Team at CAC Specialty, you will utilize your quantitative skill set to solve complex problems for clients across all product lines & industry verticals. This position is responsible for performing various levels of analysis related to our internal & client projects.

Dates: June 1, 2026 – July 24, 2026

Compensation: Internships are paid, seasonal positions that are eight weeks in length. The hourly rate for this position will be $22/hr

Housing: Based in Denver, housing or a housing stipend is provided for this role

Course Credit: CAC Group will work with students to meet required course criteria for those who are obtaining academic credit for their summer internship. 

Internship Opportunity:

  • Data Analysis: Clean and validate exposure data for catastrophe modeling and analyze loss metrics
  • Model Development: Improve & develop new processes to further streamline & automate workflow; research hazard and model data to build and enhance visualizations and deliverables
  • Presentation: Demonstrate proficient level of understanding of model output, catastrophe modeling fundamentals, and client nuances by delivering results and key takeaways internally to other team members
  • Understand consultive selling: Experience and observe day-to-day functions of analytics team members which includes shadowing internal & client engagements to understand analytics strategy
  • Practice Lines Exposure: Learn about various practice lines, product groups and industry verticals through summer long educational conversations
  • Professional Development: Participate in Summer Intern events that will increase business acumen, introduce you to other business areas of insurance, and interact with leadership
  • Networking: Collaborate with clients, markets, and other insurance professionals

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Rising junior or senior actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Risk Management & Insurance, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or similarly related
  • Competent in MS Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, and/or Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to solve open ended problems using strong analytics skills and quantitative reasoning
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to brokers & clients
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated individual with a drive to continuously learn and take initiative
  • Long term interest in joining CAC Group
