Center for Human Services (CHS) is seeking dynamic and caring people to join our Youth Services team as Family Support Specialists serving students and families at Stanislaus County schools with resources and case management services. We have both fulltime and parttime opportunities which will start on November 3, 2025. Requires ability to fluently speak, read and write English and Spanish. This position follows a traditional school year calendar and may include occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Position Summary: Provide case management services and facilitate groups and classes for families, meeting with clients in their homes, at schools or other community locations. Works with school/ community programs and agencies to establish services in the best interest of the client and their family.Â
DUTIES:
- Facilitate linking of services and resources for the benefit of students and their families. Maintain a high level of customer service to students and families.
- Coach and provide support to parents, families, and/or students in developing age-appropriate social skills, conflict resolution, anger management, substance abuse, money management, personal hygiene, job readiness, and necessary parenting skills. Â
- Make home visits, telephone calls and/or communicate electronically to inform parents of school programs, services, and activities.
- Establish and maintain positive public relations with district staff, parents, students, and the community.
- Attend meetings regarding the educational program for students.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and operation of student/family services both internally and externally.
- May serve as a member of the Student Study Team and other site-based student/family service groups.
- Participate as a team member for specific student issues; assist in resolving concerns with purposeful interaction with parents and other family members as necessary.
- Assists the Principal or designee in monitoring students with poor attendance. Coordinate and collaborate with appropriate District personnel and departments to coordinate support services to families in need.
- Provides guidance to parents and students in reaching their academic and social goals and monitors progress toward established goals.
- Coordinates student referrals to appropriate school and community resources.
- Ensure incidents that are of a serious nature involving students are reported to the proper site/district administration or legal authorities.
- Promotes parent and community involvement and positive public relations for school programs and services.
- Conduct parent meetings and trainings, which may occur in the evening hours.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
