The Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting maintenance and repair activities within a manufacturing facility. This position involves assisting in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on production machinery, equipment, and building facilities. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-oriented, and motivated to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
- Assist in preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues under supervision.
- Support minor electrical and plumbing repairs (e.g., replacing fuses, bulbs, or fixtures).
- Help install, adjust, and maintain machinery components as needed.
- Lubricate, clean, and service machines, tools, and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization of the maintenance work area.
- Assist experienced maintenance staff with larger repair or installation projects.
- Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Management.
