Description

The Night Custodian works well with co-workers and customers. Understand and follow explicit instructions, both oral and written. Give, receive or explain job related data using basic communication skills. Requires good judgement in thought and/or decision-making. May need to explain work methods & instructions. Aid in training others or demonstrate work processes.

• No previous cleaning experience is required
• Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
• Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50%
• Climb or balance <3
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Frequently lift 0-10 pounds
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

 

 

Qualifications

This position is responsible for assisting in the cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of the facility. The Night Custodian assists in routine and preventative maintenance, sanitation, and cleaning of all equipment within the facility, as well as general cleaning and upkeep of the facility itself. You are also a team player – driven by pride in your work and smiles on your coworker’s faces.
 
• Keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in clean and orderly condition
• Work successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization
• Expected to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written; and explain how to complete a task using basic communication skills
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules

• Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
