The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic offers a variety of services to post 9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard and their family members. Therapist will provide evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic has a commitment to training, consultation and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. The Clinician will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families. The Clinician will have training Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and should be skilled at offering treatment in a measurement-based, time-limited treatment environment. Clinician must have background and training in utilizing evidence-based interventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and adjustment disorders. Qualified candidates will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care. Certification or documented proficiency in one or more in one or more of the following EBPs: PE, CBT and CPT is required at time of hire or within a year of employment.
Salary:
$68,640- $75,499 per year
Position Overview:
With a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed chemical dependency counselor, case managers, and veteran outreach professionals, the clinic offers high- quality, evidence-based, and personalized outpatient mental health treatment tailored to meet the specific needs of Post 9/11 veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and their families. The Cohen Clinic is part of the Cohen Veterans Network, a national nonprofit (501c3) network of clinics.
Under the general direction of the Office Manager, the Front Office Billing Coordinator is responsible for registering and scheduling patients in the appropriate IT system, organizing daily patient schedules, triaging incoming patient reports to appropriate locations, answering phones, preparation of billing information for billing services, obtaining and documenting insurance pre-authorizations and pre-certifications and facilitating physician and patient administrative needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manages care billing process, managing local relationships with 3rd party insurance, and ensuring that the Clinic is in compliance with contractual and reimbursement policies.
- Maintains and monitors all financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness of data and compliance with state and federal rules and regulations for business continuity.
- Collaborates the Cohen Veterans Network' Billing Team around financial data collection, trend analysis, research, reporting, etc.
- Works with insurance co-payment to gathering confidential information to verify insurance eligibility and collect co-payment at time of service.
- Corrects audit report findings including suspense, missing benefits, self-pay, and denial logs.
- Maintains a daily log of copayments collected on the premises.
- Operates the main phone line at the Cohen Clinic to ensure a smooth intake process for new clients and provide continuous exceptional customer service for established clients.
- Maintains current information on all clinic services and other community services to assist consumers, staff, and the general public in accessing the Cohen Clinic and other community services.
- Responsible for properly triaging clients and/or callers in crisis following clinic’s policies and procedures.
- Implement administrative safeguards to protect and control access to PHI, in accordance to The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Presents a professional image, maintaining a calm, professional manner knowing that some callers are consumers or family members and may be agitated, stressed, or present a difficult communication situation.
