This is a full-time, year-round (225 days), salaried position as a masters-level therapist in a pediatric day treatment setting. Experience working with elementary-aged students with challenging behaviors preferred. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the state’s premiere day treatment facility for children. Should have experience with individual, group, and systems therapy; experience working in pediatric in-patient, residential, or a school is a plus.
Position Summary: Responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and clinical counseling services for students and families. Collaborates on cases with case managers and other service providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services to students and families. Provides emergency crisis intervention/assessment as needed and participates in the Agency’s on-call emergency services provision rotation schedule.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:Â
- Participates and administrates students and families initial assessments.
- Provides clinical treatment using a variety of treatment modalities, e.g. individual, couple, family, group, etc.
- Participates in IEP preparation and creation.
- Participates in multidisciplinary treatment plan.
- Provides case management as needed.
- Evaluates treatment process on an ongoing basis. Â
- Collaborates with case managers and other service providers to ensure students/families needs are being met.
- Provides emergency crisis intervention services with, and on behalf of, students and families as needed.
- Builds and maintains positive, working relationships with community organizations and service providers. Â
- Schedules appointments with students and families based on students’ needs.
- Maintains confidentiality of students and families.
- Transports students and families as needed.
- Provides sensitivity to students and families cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic issues and diversity.
- Serves as a positive role model to students and colleagues.
- Maintains or exceeds productivity expectations.
- Completes all professional and administrative documentation and forms in accordance with agency standards and within established guidelines and timeframes.
- Prepares for and participates in Utilization Management process as scheduled.
- Participates in administrative supervision as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in human services related field required
- LICSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred.
- Experience with ED/BD children required.
- Computer skills desired.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required.
- Bilingual skills desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
- Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
Physical Requirements:Â This position requires residential and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to:
- Travel to and from students’ residence, community locations and office site, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to participate in physical crisis intervention with students as needed.
