NORPAC is looking for an experienced Sales Manager for Packaging business at NORPAC. The position is responsible for sales of NORPACs growing line of packaging papers to customers in the U.S. This position will be located close to markets, with extensive travel required throughout the region. Some travel to the mill location in Longview, WA. will also be required.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Responsible for assigned customers and regional business development, ensuring proper emphasis, resources, and long-term growth with the customer base.
  • Provide leadership in implementing end-user focus sales strategy and positioning with target customers and markets.
  • Managing customer relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction while meeting internal objectives and implementing improvements.
  • Cultivates Innovation by continuously assessing the market for new and innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Understand the mill business and manufacturing processes and translate that into servicing the customer’s business and manufacturing processes.
  • Support the quality team to help resolve paper performance problems and service issues.
  • Demonstrate safe practices in the field and in the mill. Monitor and communicate trends in market conditions, assess implications and recommend changes.
  • Participate closely with other sales team members on NORPAC's Marketing Team in developing, communicating and executing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Participation in Key Industry Events when required.

 

Required Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • BS/BA degree in technical or business field and/or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years pulp and paper sales experience.
  • Self-Directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Driven, motivated and results oriented with proven ability to identify and close new opportunities, build relationships and exceed sales goals.
  • Must be able to adapt to diverse business cultures.
  • Exceptional customer orientation- acts as a strategic partner, dedicated to building, expanding and sustaining enduring relationships with key accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrates a strong team-oriented mindset and the capacity to excel within a highly collaborative team-based environment and the ability to work across functional areas in the organization.

 

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in business or relevant area of study
  • Successful experience in relationship selling with ability to negotiate and close complex deals.
  • 10 years’ selling/marketing experience with packaging/specialty products.

 

Compensation:

Annual salary range for this position $150,000 - $175,000
