ILS Farms is continuously growing and we are seeking to add a detail oriented Assistant Controller to help drive financial accuracy and efficiency in our expanding operations.  Â
ILS Farms operates across Central Kansas, producing key crops to support its feedyards and grazing programs. With a focus on efficiency and sustainability, we leverage advanced technology and resources to drive innovation in agriculture.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain internal controls and support audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in agriculture or farming.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Agriculture Accounting: Understanding of farm cost accounting, commodity inventory valuation, and agribusiness financial regulations, and FSA practices is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with farm managers and financial teams.
