Job Summary:    The Facilities Manager manages administrative and facilities needs of the community health center. The job may focus on the range of activities including General maintenance and improvement of buildings. Some duties include scheduling service calls, maintaining building access, scheduling snow and ice removal, maintaining landscaping and scheduling as necessary, overseeing team of housekeepers, maintaining and tracking facility inventory. Ensuring organization runs smoothly in general. 

Essential Functions:  

  • Manage administrative contracts, Maintain Inventory. 

  • Perform On-site evaluations and collaborate with Chief of Operations on safety and compliance. 

  • Procurement-Office Supplies, Office Equipment.  

  • Prepare and coordinate- Job Bids, Cost and Estimates.  

  • Perform vendor selection for new contracts. 

  • Manage phone systems, Manage security protocols and security control systems 

  • Ensure tickets related to parking, phone systems, temperature, janitorial, security. 

  • Oversee and Supervise Team of Housekeepers and address deficiencies with housekeeping staff. 

  • Coordinate Operations and Safety Training. 

  • Work with Operations and Finance to maintain commercial insurance. 

  • Self-Perform Repairs as needed and schedule repairs for complex jobs. 

  • Perform Cost Analysis to obtain competitive pricing.  

  • Maintain General Upkeep of the building and the premises. 

Competencies:   

  • Organizational skills required for record keeping and scheduled maintenance 

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience:  

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED 

  • Minimum one-year supervisory experience, directing, scheduling, and evaluating maintenance/facilities staff. 

  • Minimum two years’ experience in repair and maintenance of equipment, furniture, fixtures, facilities systems, grounds and structures. 

  • Intermediately advanced computer skills, including internet and e-mail. 

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License. 

  • Must have scheduling flexibility to perform occasional after-hours emergency services. 

  • Employment contingent upon the results of the following check 

  • DMV Check, Drug Screen

Preferred Education/ Experience: 

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field desirable. 

 

  • Additional Eligibility: Must be current or willing to be vaccinated for the following  

  • TDAP (up to date booster) 

  • MMR series 

  • Varicella 

  • HEP B series 

  • Flu Shot 

  • TB Screening 

 

Work Environment:  

This position performs duties in a healthcare facility setting. This may include performing duties within the view of patients or members of the public.
