Description

This position organizes, directs and administers all aspects of the college’s compliance program. Duties include, but are not limited to certifying initial and continuing eligibility of student-athletes; maintaining NCAA squad lists; preparation of waivers (NCAA & MAAC); monitoring recruiting and financial aid; coordination of monthly rules education meetings for coaches and staff;  implementation of community outreach projects. This position has oversight of the Student Athlete Advisory Council.

    • preparing the information
    • submitting them via AMA on the NCAA website
  • Student Athlete Advisory Committee - Moderator
  • Sport Game Day Administrator and/or Sport Supervisor
  • Camps/Clinics
    • verify/approve NCAA rules
  • Violations
    • report secondary and major violations
  • Approve Schedules
    • verify that minimum /maximum NCAA regulations
  • Call NCAA for interpretations
  • Upload Financial Aid information on Compliance Assistant
  • Utilize the tools of LSDBi on the NCAA Website
  •  Utilize ARMS for compliance paperwork, forms
  • NCAA Drug Testing
    • submit squad lists to NCAA for random selection
  • NCAA Student-Athlete Rules Education Meeting
    • run the meeting
    • go through all the paperwork
    • walk-on paperwork
    • walk-on meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree required from a recognized college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two years experience in NCAA rules and regulations as well as knowledge of ARMS, NCAA Compliance Assistant and Academic Performance Program.
