Position Summary

• Title: Director of Admissions
• Department: Reports to President
• Classification: Full time
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus scheduled events with required attendance.

Overview

The Director of Admissions is responsible for all aspects of the 9th through 12th grade experience by developing and implementing a comprehensive student recruitment and retention plan to meet enrollment and diversity goals. This position requires knowledge of best practices in enrollment management and familiarity with Catholic school admissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all admissions department functions, including inquiry generation, admissions process, and acceptable yield.
• Build strategic relationships with key feeder schools and community organizations.
• Develop and execute short and long-term enrollment management strategies for recruitment and retention.
• Produce and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze enrollment data and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
• Develop retention strategies and programming to maintain current student enrollment.
• Oversee student ambassador and tour guide programs.
• Partner with the communications/marketing team on recruitment materials and outreach campaigns.
• Make data-driven recommendations on tuition rates.
• Prepare reports on enrollment statistics, projections, and trends for leadership.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in admissions and enrollment management.
• Work closely with the Director of Finance to plan and coordinate the financial aid application process for incoming freshman and transfer students including the notification process.
• Collaborate closely with Advancement colleagues to drive prospective family interest, generate affinity, retain current families, and inspire engagement.
• Design programs and recruit volunteer partners to welcome, engage, and support families.
• Serve as an integral community member and participate fully in daily life at St. Pius X High School.

Qualifications and Experience 

• Commitment to embrace the Catholic Mission and Dominican Charism at St. Pius X High School.
• Completion of Safe Haven environment training.
• At least five years of experience in admissions or enrollment management at a Catholic or private high school is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with constituency groups.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and reporting tools.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
