Position Summary: ISDenver is seeking substitute teachers to add to its list who can provide short and potentially longer term cover for ISDenver teachers when they are absent for one or more days. ISDenver short term substitute teachers provide subject guidance to any class or group of students based on substitute teaching plans provided by the regular teacher ensuring their holistic developmental needs are met personal, social, emotional, and academic. Long term substitute teachers may be required to create their own teaching plans for the classroom with the assistance of ISDenver.

Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, ensuring that students stay on task and follow the established rules.

Lesson Delivery: Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that educational objectives are met and students continue their learning progress.

Adaptability: Be flexible and able to adapt quickly to different grade levels, subjects, and school environments.

Attendance and Record Keeping: Take attendance and report any relevant information to the school office. Keep records of daily activities and student behavior.

Communication: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a smooth transition for students when the regular teacher is absent. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administrators.

Supervision: Oversee students during various activities, such as lunch, recess, and class changes.

Follow School Policies: Adhere to school policies and procedures, including emergency protocols and safety measures.

Professionalism: Exhibit a professional attitude and maintain confidentiality regarding students and school-related matters.
