Position Summary: The Head Athletic Coach is responsible for the overall training and development, both athletically and personally, of athletes in their particular discipline and team to which they are assigned.

- Plans practices and coaches games.
- Attends all practices and games.
- Accompanies and/or drives the athletic team on a school vehicle to and from athletic events.
- Reports all injuries and follows the procedure for reporting injuries.
- Teaches the philosophy, fundamentals, techniques and style of play as prescribed.
- Performs proper athletic training, first aid, and safety as required.
- Communicates as necessary with athletes and their families via the dedicated school portal.
- Practices acceptable personal conduct before, during and after games and practices.
- Remains familiar with, and adheres to, rules and regulations of the sport coached based on the appropriate school and sport affiliations.
- Responsible for supporting the total athletic program.
- Helps to develop the coaching abilities and performance of the assistant coach(es)
- Supervises assistant coach(es) of the discipline in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
- Assist in the evaluation of assistant coach(es) in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
- Complies with all other duties as requested by the Athletic Director.
- Willingness and ability to transport students in an ISDenver non-CDL vehicle as needed.
