Job Duties:

  • Greet and assist all customers in a friendly manner.
  • Maintain assigned work area clean at all times (sweep, mop, clear of dirt, etc.)
  • Maintain a workstation that is organized and stocked.
  • Ensure all food items are properly covered and stored at required temperatures (cold-cold; hot-hot)
  • Prepare food as needed.
  • Assist Cook in preparing food.
  • Follow management directions and promote teamwork.
  • Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must obey all State and Federal guidelines regarding health and safety policies.
  • Wear clean complete uniform at all times: black pants or denim jeans, white dress shirt with collar or Vallarta approved shirt, black non-slip shoes, dark socks, hair net/Vallarta hat, and clean apron.
  • Wear safety glove when using knives.
  • Wash hands frequently (at least every 20 minutes) with hot water and anti-microbial soap from elbows down for no less than 20 seconds.
  • Follow dress/uniform policy.
  • Must obey all State and Federal guidelines regarding health and safety policies.
  • Must use safety goggles and heat resistant sleeves when preparing specific cuts of chicharron and carnitas
  • Avoid spilling any lard or other materials on the floor to avoid potential slip/fall risk
  • Organize commissary deliveries accordingly upon arrival: using the “first in/first out” rotation strategy for all perishable products.
  • Assist with loading rotisserie chicken grill on a daily basis during scheduled shift.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
  • Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart
  • Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly)
