Deli Clerk

General Job Duties:

• Greet all customers in a friendly manner.
• Assist customers with deli purchases.
• Thank customers for their patronage.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Sweep and pick up debris within store.
• Stock deli items as needed.
• Rotate merchandise by newer merchandise behind older merchandise. 
• Place products in refrigerator units as needed.
• Maintain Sweep Sheet every half hour.
• Inspect products when placing items on shelves.
• Maintain a clean refrigerator section.
• Place expired products at Expired Item rack (confirm with management on the expired products.
• Assist and participate with Company marketing promotional events and programs as needed

And all other assigned job duties

Essential Job Duties:

• Lift boxes and product ranging between 20 lbs up to 60 lbs
• Place boxes/product onto dolly or cart
• Push/pull between 30 lbs up to 200 lbs (items on cart/dolly)
• Bend/Stoop pick up and or place product below waist level (including shelves and racks)
• Place product onto shelves and position for sale
• Grasp/Grip product to prepare for sales floor
• Constant sweeping/pushing broom to pick up debris to keep work area clean
• Place and remove product from Deli cooler (including shelving and bins)
• Reaching above shoulder level (product placement on sales floor plus shelving/rack system in deli warehouse areas)
• Place debris/trash/recycle cardboard in respective areas
• Will clean and maintain shelves and bins
• Climb ladders to retrieve product on top shelf/deli cooler
