Title: Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP or Non-Registered Lab Tech
Location: FCN Laboratory Services 
City: Bellingham, WA
Position: Full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, Monday–Friday, with alternating day and evening shifts: 7:30am–4:00pm and 1:30pm–10:00pm
Compensation:
	- The full wage range for a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) is $25.75–$35.45 per hour.
- The full wage range for a Non-Registered Laboratory Technician is $22.34–$30.67 per hour.
Placement within the wage range is based on the candidate’s relevant experience. We also offer a $3.00 per hour shift differential for eligible evening and weekend hours. 
Bonus: Employees are eligible annually to participate in discretionary bonus programs, as determined by FCN, which include the Years-of-Service bonus program, the Quality Performance bonus program, and the Performance Recognition bonus program.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Laboratory Services Manager and in conjunction with the medical technologists, performs test analysis on patient specimens including blood, urine, culture samples and other body fluids. Performs test analysis on quality control samples, proficiency samples and performs equipment maintenance. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes and supports the Core Values of Family Care Network.
	- Performs test analysis on patient specimens.
- Performs and evaluates analysis of quality control, proficiency specimens, and patient specimens
- Maintains and troubleshoots equipment.
- Consistently meets expected turnaround times.
- Consistently leaves work area clean, organized and ready for the next shift.
- Identifies unexpected results, errors and problems and follows up.
- Communicates with physicians, AHPs, managers, clinical staff and processors as appropriate.
- Participates in department process improvement work.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality).
- Ensures timely renewal of required certifications.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- PSL accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked
- EIB accrues up to 32 hours per year (pro-rated based on hours worked) for both part-time and full-time employees, with a maximum of 480 hours
