Description

The Pharmacist (full-time) is responsible the operation, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. The Pharmacist (full-time) will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Fruth Pharmacys policies and applicable laws when on duty. Responsibilities may include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Is also responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy Department adheres to all State & Federal laws and regulations as well as Fruth Pharmacys standards and policies.

The Pharmacist (full-time) candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy and must be licensed or eligible for licensure in both Ohio and West Virginia. The pharmacist must have passed a criminal background check and drug screen to begin employment with Fruth.

Education and/or Experience: Diploma from an accredited school of pharmacy (Bachelors of Science (BSPh) or Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD). Retail pharmacy experience is highly desirable.

Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. A pharmacist must have willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret [in English] general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]. Must have the ability to write simple correspondence [in English]. Also, must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates of Fruth Pharmacy who only speak English.

Computer Skills: The Pharmacist, in order to perform this job successfully, should have a knowledge of accounting software; internet software; inventory software; automation; spreadsheet software and word processing software.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Original pharmacist license and current annual certificate or documentation from appropriate State Board of Pharmacy. Good standing with State Board of Pharmacy. The Pharmacist candidate is eligible for licensure in both Ohio and West Virginia. Complete Fruth Pharmacys training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, product knowledge, HIPAA, PDX, and other training as required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color and depth perception.
