Description

The NEC Director - Sales is responsible for development and performance of aluminum automotive components, nameplate and appliance sales activities.  The position is responsible for the management of the customer service representatives and sales managers. NEC Director - Sales is responsible for ensuring that Sales objectives are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance and development of the sales staff.
  • Drives the company's achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Determines and monitors sales' Key Performance Indicators such as revenue vs. plan, quotations, and gross profit percentage.
  • Ensure that the sales team meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
  • Oversees and drives adoption of sales technology.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Assists with complex sales negotiations, attends sales presentations, and helps with the closing of sales deals.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Maintains key customer relationships and develops and implements strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
  • Provides timely feedback to the executive leadership team regarding performance.
  • Establishes training and development for the sales team members.
  • Develops, documents, and enforces sales policies, standard operating procedures and best practices.
  • Assists sales team in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
  • Continually improves the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhances productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous Sales Leadership a plus
  • Project management skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks, while possessing strong and positive communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented and ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
