Overview:
The Primary function of this position is to deliver high quality service to our lending base.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned as such.
  • Adhere to all lending compliance guidelines.
  • Cross sell all applicable Meritrust services to new members, where possible.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all Credit Union matters.
  • Present a positive, successful image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude. 
  • Supports the Sales Team by pre-closing, scheduling, and processing loans and deposit products.
  • Displays excellent member service and strong interpersonal skills by building and maintaining a positive relationship with internal and external members.
  • Communicate and follow up with members and dealeres, gathering items necessary to close loans, perfect the lien, and/or open accounts.
  • Schedule closing appointments with member and branch, if applicable. 
  • Process and maintenance ACH with dealerships.
  • Maintain communication with indirect dealers in order to provide necessary documents and assist them with any funding concerns or questions.
  • Service dealers in all funding related aspects.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to discuss with dealers MCU program specifics.
  • Send funding notices to loan officers.
  • Verify supporting documents and process direct loans within the allotted timeframe.
  • Deliver quality loan documents, error free, to branch staff for in-person closings or directly to members via DocuSign.
  • Disburse loan proceeds according to the approval.
  • Assist Credit Union staff with loan processing questions.
  • Efficiently research, correct, and perform all necessary transactions on member and dealer accounts. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
     

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education:

  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to operate an adding machine, computer, and perform minor math calculations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of lending practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of account-opening procedures.
  • Experience levels desired should include Teller I & II in addition to Member Service Associate I & II. 
  • Completion of high school, with diploma.
  • 1-3 years of loan processing experience preferred.
