Description

Role:

Responsible for retaining and expanding existing account relationships and acquiring new members.  Develops activities and strategies to promote growth of the credit union by attracting new members.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Increases visibility and obtains new members by promotion and education of credit union products and services. 
  2. Attends events on behalf of the credit union to discover new network opportunities and remains active in the community.
  3. Assists with planning and participates in community, business development and member   retention events.
  4. Conducts regular phone calls and visits to promote credit union awareness within the schools and community. 
  5. Compiles detailed and accurate reports related to business development activity. 
  6. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to):  USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Truth in Savings, Privacy, etc.
  7. Develops and maintains strong knowledge of credit union products and services.
  8. Public speaking representative for events of all sizes (up to 200+) representing the Credit Union.
  9. Yearly review of Chamber of Commerce sites and utilize digital blast to Chamber members, monthly or as often as membership will allow.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of marketing/business development experience preferred.
  • A high school education or GED required. Two year degree preferred.
  • Ability to display strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
  • Ability to manage projects through to completion.
  • Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work irregular hours as dictated by scheduled events.
  • Ability to work on-site at designated location.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for job related travel.
  • Ability to speak to groups of all sizes in a professional and precise manner.
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must be bondable

Ergonomic Considerations:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
  • Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
  • Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to operate office machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
